Biology 1- Cell Webquest

 INTRODUCTION:
 We are studying the cell and its parts and functions. As a pair you will embark on a journey to discover information that will lead you to the understanding of a cell, its parts, and functions.

TASK:
#1 RESEARCH  You will individually fill out the cell organelle worksheet finding all the information you can about each cell organelle.  DUE 11-4-10

#2 TRADING CARDS You will individually design and construct the informational trading cards for the cell organelles as describe on the assignment sheet. Due 11-9-10 Trading Card Assignment Sheet

#3 POWER POINT or BROCHURE for CELL SCHOOL/CITY  You will work with a partner to accomplish task three. You will create a power point or a travel brochure comparing the cell and its organelles to a school or a city. Use the analogy to identify what parts perform what functions and how it all works together.

                ~Produce two slides for each organelle explaining what part of or person in the school is like this part of the organelle.

                ~One slide must have the picture you’ve taken, identify which organelle this person/place represents.

                ~The second slide must have an explanation how this person/place represents the organelle.

                 

                 

                ~You must use at least three different slide transitions.

                ~ You must use at least three different sound effects.

                ~ You must narrate your presentation to the class.

                 

                 

                ~Remember, your presentation must be neat, easily read, well organized, and make sense!

# 4 3D MODEL-  You will as a pair or individually construct a 3D model of a cell (either plant or animal). On an index card you will need explain what represents each organelle and why you chose that material. You may use ANYTHING to create you 3D model. Be Creative. Due 11-12-10
